Cody & Sara have kicked off my engagement sessions for the 2015 season! These two began dating only 2 weeks after they first met, and knew that what they shared was something special. So they made it work, even though that meant a long distance relationship; first with Cody living on Vancouver Island, and then with him moving to Ontario for the military. Just recently, Sara made the move out to Ontario as well. This engagement session was my first time meeting Cody, because this was their only visit to Vancouver until they return for their winter wedding! And speaking of winter, I loved the cute, cheeky way Cody planned the proposal:
This past year Cody came home for Christmas. He told Sara to get Dec 21st off of work so they could go to Grouse Mountain with his sister and her boyfriend. Cody’s sister loves snowmen so she insisted on making a snowman. Sara wasn’t really all that into it, but the rest of the group insisted on making a snowman. Once Mr. Snowman was finally formed, Cody’s sister took a picture of Sara & Cody behind the snowman. She went over to distract Sara and ask if she liked the picture, while Cody quickly put a “Sara, will you marry me?” sign in front of the snowman. Cody’s sister suggested they take one more picture. So Cody & an unsuspecting Sara smiled for the camera once more. This time when Cody’s sister asked Sara what she thought of the picture, Cody took the opportunity to get down on one knee and asked her to be his wife!
