Mackenzie & Cassandra know how to do life well. From thrifting to planning their annual “Movember Party” to the everyday errands, this couple loves to do it all, and they do it together. They are hardly the same, yet their differences are what make them fit together so well. Their wedding was just the beautiful, spontaneous, vintage-y, heartfelt celebration that you would expect! Loved every minute of it. Here are a few things from their wedding that bring a smile to my face:
1. All the meaningful details that were included throughout the day (patch from Cassandra’s dad’s shirt sewn inside her dress, family heirlooms like the kissing bell, cufflinks, and…)
2. The sword!! Who would have thought that I would shoot two weddings in a row where a family sword was used to cut the cake? Best. I want a family sword now.
3. The bridal party. What a great bunch of people to spend the day with. Thanks to Mackenzie’s brother Derek (I’ll be shooting his wedding next month!) for ‘accidentally’ cracking a joke that caught us all off guard – I had to put down my camera while I regained composure!
4. The flash mob! Some of the guests planned a flash mob dance for the bride & groom, so fun!
Thank you Mackenzie & Cassandra for letting me share in this special day with you (and the season of preparation leading up to it). You two are beautiful inside and out, and I know there are great things ahead for you!
